Danai Kittivathana is one of my artists and he's got some incredible Star Wars: Rebels pieces that do not disappoint! There has been a push for more of a female presence in the movies and shows as well as more merchandise relating to the females of Star Wars. Danai has taken this to heart and has produced a couple pieces relating to the females. His first pieces are Sabine Wren pieces and are available with a white or black background. Both pieces are 11x14 and are digital prints and are printed with a metallic finish and with lustre coating. Another one of Danai's pieces is of Hera Syndulla. This fearless leader and pilot of The Ghost is joined by her stubborn droid, Chopper! The two heroes pose in front of the blueprints of The Ghost. These pieces are digitally printed and are limited to 50 prints. Like the Sabine above, they are printed with a metallic finish with a lustre coating. The colors on this piece really make it pop! To continue with our artist spotlight, we move on to a Star Wars fan named L Jason Queen. Queen has produced a fantastic original piece related to everyone's favorite bounty hunter, Boba Fett. In the striking piece, Fett is standing on a Cloud City Platform with his ship, Slave I in the distance. The piece is called "Cloud City Fett" and is a 16x20 original acrylic on illustration board. The pastel colors in Queen's piece really captures the Cloud City feel. "Cloud City Fett" is a perfect nod to the Empire Strikes Back and the Original Trilogy. This one-of-a-kind piece sells for $295 with free shipping.
Have you seen the new trailer for The Force Awakens? If so, you probably had a similar reaction that I did by the time the trailer ended. My eyes teared up before I knew what was even happening. This next piece was produced by a talented artist named Cody Glenn. This piece is called "The First Order" and contains different images we saw in the new trailer. Captain Phasma, Kylo Ren, the new Stormtroopers, Kylo Ren's Lightsaber and Vader's damaged helmet are all represented in this piece. "The First Order" comes in two ways, an original that measures 9x12 and prints which measure 11x14. We are currently working out a final price for the original, but the prints sell for $49.99 with free shipping. The prints are printed with a metallic finish with lustre coating and are limited to 10.
The most recent piece that has been added to the TSO Gallery is a fantastic piece done by artist, Samantha DeCarlo. DeCarlo produced two versions of this piece as well, an original and prints. The original is an 8x10 acrylic painting on hot press paper. The original will be sold framed and will be signed by DeCarlo. The prints will be limited to 25 and will be sized at 11x14. Both the prices of the original and the prints are still TBD.
