Star Wars at Chicago Comic-Con 2015

Another year of Chicago Comic-Con is in the books.  The energy level at Chicago Comic-Con seemed to be very high this year (which definitely adds to the enjoyment).  While Chicago Comic-Con, also known as Wizard World, is not solely Star Wars, Star Wars did have a big presence at the show.  Fans in costumes and the Star Wars merchandise helped convention goers be reminded of the fact that Star Wars is alive and well!

The 501st Legion (Midwest Garrison) was a HUGE hit this year.  Masses of fans surrounded the costumed characters as they wandered the convention floor taking pictures with the excited fans.  Characters ranging from Darth Vader to Darth Maul, to Stormtroopers, Sandtroopers and Stormtroopers from The Force Awakens all made themselves accessible for photos.  The Mandalorian Mercs also marched through the convention in a "parade style" line which became a head-turner.  One group of fans even showed up in Stormtrooper costumes made completely out of cardboard (which took them 2 months to make).

Not only were fans in costume out in full-force, but so was the Star Wars merch!  Whether you were looking for clothes, toys, art, collectibles or something else, Wizard World Chicago had it!  Some of the most eye-catching items included some of the vintage toys that were available, the new Japanese merchandise, and Ultra Sabers.

The most exciting thing for Twin Suns Outpost, was having our own booth to show fans our rare artwork.  This was our first time exhibiting at Chicago Comic-Con and we look forward to working with them again in the future.  We received nothing but positive reactions and we were lucky enough to have one of our artists (Samantha DeCarlo) join us for signings on Sunday in a stunning Twin Suns dress.

Lastly, Twin Suns Outpost would like to thank 2 of the best volunteers.  Connie Pfeifer and Michael Bert both volunteered their time over the weekend to make sure Twin Suns Outpost ran without a hitch.
